This artwork aimed to illustrate a short narrative concerning a scientist in Prague who goes insane with grief following the death of a loved one. I used shades of blue to invoke the sad atmosphere of the story, and then utilised contrasting tones of red to draw attention to the horror at the end of the narrative.
