The aim of this brief was to redesign a collection of poems by Hilaire Belloc entitled 'Cautionary Tales for Children.' This was done in groups of 5, with each member being allocated one poem to develop a visual layout for. As a group, the decision was made to target an adult audience, and therefore the aim was to exaggerate the more scary and violent elements of each chosen poem.
For my poem I developed a graphic narrative that focused on the sinister elements to the story, which I felt were effectively highlighted in the imagery and style I utilised.
Upon completing the redesigns of our respective poems, we then printed the book as a physical product, with my poem folding out similar to a newspaper comic.
